Finalize = assembly: the 80/20 highlight-and-prune into storyboard version 2.0
how-toDo not delete ideas. Duplicate, then delete from the copy.
'The finalization phase is when you basically connect the dots between the most powerful aspects of your script, building out the skeleton or backbone of your marketing message... leaving you with a finished and polished script.' Pareto: 'focus in on the 80, 20 of all of these ideas... 20% of them will account for 80% of the positive results.' Highlight favourites over several read-throughs, unhighlight anything that does not logically tie to the rest, then 'duplicate this storyboard. Now name this new storyboard your commercial version 2.0. From here, delete everything except the components you've previously highlighted.' Live version: 'you duplicate it and now edit it. That way you have a reference of every level of your commercial', file named '1ds final value video.' The original stays as the archive for later scripts.
Version-by-duplication is a habit Paul can apply to any client document, not just scripts.
