Template Pack: Download-All Links, and How LUTs Work — Correction vs Creative, Naming, Lumetri, and Installing Them Permanently

Anthony Gallo Instructor, ContentCreator.com - walks the download flow and demos the Essential LUT Pack in Premiere Pro
Lessons 1–2 of 2 in Download Your Templates!

The short version

  1. The pack is a set of download-all links by category (sound effects, LUTs, and so on); every template is drag-and-drop in any editor on any OS, except LUTs, which need installing. Complete beginners are told to go back to the main course first - 'it will teach you how to actually edit.'
  2. A LUT ('look-up table') is a one-click colour preset - 'not so magical that you can throw them on terrible footage.' Two kinds: CORRECTION LUTs named by camera and conversion (A7S III / S-Log3 to Rec.709, EOS R / C-Log to Rec.709, Mavic Pro / D-Log to Rec.709, iPhone 13) that bring flat Log footage back to normal; CREATIVE LUTs (Bright & Saturated, Moody, Orange & Teal, Teal Shadows) for footage that already looks balanced.
  3. Two rescue LUTs every beginner should own: Brighten & Preserve Highlights (lifts shadows without blowing the sky) and Fix Overexposed (pulls exposure down, keeps detail) - the two most common beginner mistakes.
  4. In Premiere: Lumetri Color (Window menu if hidden, or drag the effect on) > Creative > Look > Browse to the folder; a Log clip snaps to normal in one click - 'five or ten minutes' of wheel-spinning saved; drag the intensity slider down for half-strength or up for more; toggle to compare. Install permanently by copying the .cube files into Library > Application Support > Adobe > Common > LUTs > Creative (Option-click Go in Finder for Library); they then appear in the Look dropdown in every project.

01How the pack works: download-all per category, drag-and-drop everywhere - except LUTsCategory download-all links;

Category download-all links; cross-app, cross-OS drag-and-drop assets; LUTs install separately; learn to edit first.

Download-all per category (p2193098136 0:00)

Works in Premiere/Resolve/Final Cut/CapCut, Mac or PC (p2193098136 0:00)

LUTs are the only install (p2193098136 0:00-0:01)

Beginners: go back to the main course first (p2193098136 0:01)

02What a LUT is, and the two kinds: correction (camera / Log -> Rec.709) and creativeCorrection LUT = camera-specific Log -> Rec.709;

Correction LUT = camera-specific Log -> Rec.709; creative LUT = a look for balanced footage; two exposure-rescue LUTs.

LUT = one-click preset, not magic (p2178626340 0:00)

Naming: camera / conversion (p2178626340 0:01-0:02)

Log is flat on purpose; correction restores it (p2178626340 0:01)

Creative: Bright & Saturated, Moody, Orange & Teal, Teal Shadows (p2178626340 0:03)

Rescue: Brighten & Preserve Highlights; Fix Overexposed (p2178626340 0:03-0:04)

How the pack works: download-all per category, drag-and-drop everywhere - except LUTs

Every category has a 'download all' button. Everything drops straight onto a timeline - LUTs are the one exception.

Under the video: one link per category; click through, 'Download all' top-right, and the templates land on your computer. All templates work on Mac and PC in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut and CapCut by dragging into the program - LUTs alone need a specific installation (instructions in the description, demoed in the second video). Beginners who have never edited are told to stop and watch the editing training in the main course they bought first, then return to the pack.

Why it matters

Paul buys packs like this for client work; the 'drag-and-drop except LUTs' rule is all you need to remember.

02

What a LUT is, and the two kinds: correction (camera / Log -> Rec.709) and creative

The file name tells you the job: camera before the slash, what it does after it.

LUT = look-up table, a one-click colour-correction/grade preset that saves 'spinning all the wheels' - but it will not rescue bad footage. Correction LUTs are built per camera and named 'camera / conversion': A7S III (S-Log3 to Rec.709, plus one tuned to emulate his YouTube studio look), EOS M50 (the beginner camera), EOS R (C-Log to Rec.709), iPhone 13 (works for most phones), Mavic Pro (D-Log to Rec.709, most DJI drones). Log footage is washed-out on purpose - it preserves dynamic range and creative latitude - and the correction LUT brings it back to normal. Creative LUTs go on footage that already looks balanced: Bright and Saturated; Moody (his favourite - 'more dramatic', desaturates and shifts the greens); Orange and Teal ('one of the most popular colour grades on planet earth'); Teal Shadows (a poppier teal in the shadows). Two rescue LUTs: Brighten and Preserve Highlights (lift shadows, keep the sky) and Fix Overexposed (bring exposure down, retain detail) - for the two commonest beginner mistakes.

Why it matters

Names Paul can read off a folder and know which to reach for - and the Log explanation in one paragraph.

03

Apply in Premiere (Lumetri > Creative > Look > Browse), tune intensity, install permanently

how-to

Browse to the folder once, or copy the files into Adobe's LUT folder and never browse again.

Open Lumetri Color (Window menu, or search the effect and drag it onto the clip). Creative tab > Look > Browse > pick the LUT: an EOS R clip goes from washed-out to corrected in one click; a Mavic Pro Iceland drone clip 'looks 10 times better' - work that 'would have taken five or ten minutes' by hand. Creative > Moody on a bright saturated shot: drag the intensity below 100 for half strength, above for more; toggle to compare. Permanent install (Mac): select all the LUT files, copy; Finder > Go with Option held reveals Library > Application Support > Adobe > Common > LUTs > Creative; paste; save and reopen Premiere - every LUT is now in the Look dropdown for all projects. Windows path is in the description.

Do it in this order
Why it matters

Ten minutes that make the LUT folder a permanent part of Paul's Premiere setup.
