Office Hours XI: rolecompass.ai's Launch, Redesigning a Client Site Without Losing Its SEO, the Hermes Harness Tour, and Turning a Workflow into a Skill

Harshit Host - the Product Hunt coaching, the migration answer for Sarandeep, the Hermes harness tour · Shivani Outskill community - opens and closes the hour · Palak Jain Participant - demos rolecompass.ai · Praful Thakkar Participant - Product Hunt coaching, MVP Rocket, Agent Grid · Sarandeep Singh Participant - the SEO-preserving redesign question · Cody Shah Participant - harness questions, Kimi bridge, memory product

The short version

  1. Palak's rolecompass.ai (about 400 roles, ~1,300 AI tools tracked, weekly refresh, Razorpay, Supabase) - Harshit probes whether the LLM-sourced data is vetted (every claim is linked to a source) and prescribes a Product Hunt launch with cohort upvotes; Praful adds the launch-day playbook and asks for a GTM session. Harshit's own GTM rule: start a newsletter - you own the email addresses, 'you're never a prey to the algorithm' (0:05-0:20).
  2. Sarandeep redesigns real-estate and charter-company sites that look dated but rank on years of blog posts. How to rebuild the design without losing the URLs? Get into the client's codebase; feed an SEO/GEO skill to restructure the blogs against meta, H1/H2 standards; add llms.txt and robots.txt so Google, ChatGPT and Gemini crawlers read the site; migrate WordPress with WP-CLI so URLs and content stay identical; if the client can move to Next.js, deploy with the Vercel CLI. The Saturday session on SEO/GEO/AEO was announced (0:20-0:33).
  3. Tool discoveries: Terminal Browser (agent + parallel browser for SEO/GEO checks), Ego Browser (Mac-only browser automation, used to post to Medium), Open Viking (a self-evolving context database paired with a ~4B local model) - all found on github.com/trending (0:29-0:37).
  4. Harshit's Hermes harness tour: a self-improving trending-topics harness, the Awesome Hermes Harnesses repo, Mem0 for memory, a reflective 'keep notes' layer, GBrain/GStack (YC Bookface-derived brainstorming), XActions (a brainstormed tweet that got ~50K views); Cody's Kimi K3 bridge shows any model swaps in (0:36-0:47). Praful's video pain: don't look for a skill - do the four-hour workflow once more in one chat, then tell Hermes to turn that chat into a skill; that is how MVP Rocket was born (0:48-0:52).
  5. Agent Grid (Praful and Cody): visual multi-agent orchestration, parallel IDE/model tabs, shared context, cross-provider usage tracking, Mac app; free 6-month Pro codes for the cohort (0:55-1:02). Claude Code getting 'stupider' in a long terminal: Cmd+N, cd into the same folder, run claude again - fresh context, same project (1:02-1:06). Aside: OpenRouter reportedly acquired by Stripe (0:48).

The concepts in full

01

rolecompass.ai as a launch case: vet the LLM data, then Product Hunt with the cohort behind you

Harshit's first question about a product built on LLM-generated content was 'what's the basis of it saying high risk?'

Palak's site gives role-specific career guidance across about 400 roles with a tracked library of AI tools, refreshed weekly, payments on Razorpay, backend on Supabase. Harshit's due-diligence questions are the ones any LLM-sourced product must answer: is the data vetted (yes - curated models, tested, every claim linked to its source), is payment live, what is the stack. Then the prescription: a Product Hunt launch with cohort and AIC Mastermind upvotes, which Praful turns into a playbook - pick the day, coordinate the community, avoid launching against a big name (his 'Thumbify' mistake). Palak's own tip: telling the agent to plan only and execute later saved a meaningful share of tokens.

Why it matters

A real cohort product going to market, with the vetting questions attached.

02

Start a newsletter: you own the addresses, you are never prey to the algorithm

Asked to run a GTM session, Harshit gave the one piece of GTM advice he gives everyone.

LinkedIn and Twitter reach is rented; the platform can change the rules any morning. A newsletter list is owned - 'you literally own the email addresses' - and compounds. Build it early, before the launch, so the launch has somewhere to land.

Why it matters

The distribution asset behind every 'distribution beats building' answer in these office hours.

03

Redesign a site without losing its SEO: codebase access, SEO/GEO skill, llms.txt, WP-CLI, Vercel CLI

The real-estate site looks ten years old and ranks because of ten years of blog posts. Touch the design, keep every URL.

Sarandeep's clients are real-estate and charter companies; he rebuilds their sites in custom Next.js. Harshit's sequence: (1) get inside the client's codebase - from outside you can only backlink; (2) feed an SEO/GEO skill to the model to restructure the blog against meta tags and H1/H2 standards; (3) add llms.txt and robots.txt so Google, ChatGPT and Gemini crawlers can read and rank the site - generative engine optimisation, the subject of the coming Saturday session; (4) for a WordPress origin, migrate with WP-CLI so URLs and content stay byte-identical; (5) if the client will move to Next.js, deploy through the Vercel CLI. Rajesh Kumar, the cohort's in-house SEO/AEO/GEO expert, has an AIC Mastermind recording on this.

Why it matters

Paul's exact line of work - dated client sites with SEO worth preserving - answered as a checklist.

04

Inside Harshit's Hermes: harnesses for trends, memory, brainstorming and posting

Cody asked to see the harnesses. Harshit shared his screen.

A custom trending-topics harness that improves itself by finding and pulling relevant codebases; the community Awesome Hermes Harnesses repo; Mem0 for memory plus a reflective 'keep notes' layer that writes pointers back to the model; GBrain/GStack, built on Gary Tan's YC Bookface knowledge, for brainstorming; XActions, which brainstormed and posted a tweet that reached about 50K views. Cody's Kimi K3 bridge shows any model can be swapped into the same click-around automation; his side-by-side has Grok 4.6 doing ~80% of Hermes' job about three times faster. New tools come from github.com/trending: Terminal Browser, Ego Browser (Mac-only, posts to Medium), Open Viking. On Cody's memory sub-product: sell it standalone AND use it to power the voice product - 'do both'.

Why it matters

The most concrete picture in the corpus of what a working Hermes setup contains.

05

Don't look for the skill - do the workflow once more in one chat, then have Hermes turn the chat into a skill

Praful spends four to six hours a week making community videos with HeyGen and a video MCP. He wanted a packaged skill. Harshit told him to make one.

Run the whole manual workflow one more time inside a single chat, using the same MCPs and API keys, then tell Hermes explicitly to turn that entire chat into a reusable skill. 'That's exactly what I've done for invoices, proposals, website, design.' Praful had already done it without naming it: MVP Rocket, his released tool that cleans up and productionises messy MVP code, came out of exactly this pattern.

Why it matters

The general recipe for automating any recurring task without waiting for someone to publish a skill.

06

When the terminal session gets 'stupider': new tab, same folder, run claude again

Suraj: the desktop app has New Chat. What is the terminal equivalent?

Cmd+N for a new terminal tab, cd (or drag the folder) into the same project, run claude again. You get a fresh context window in the same project; the accumulated junk of the long session is gone. Agent Grid, demoed by Praful and Cody just before, is the heavyweight version of the same instinct: many parallel sessions on a visual canvas with shared context and usage tracking across providers.

Why it matters

A ten-second fix for the most common complaint about long coding sessions.
